The company was originally formed in 1970 by Melvin Faul, with the support of his wife Rae, to provide proprietary titanium anodize processes. Since then, TFC has selectively expanded its capabilities to meet other special metal finishing needs of the market niches it served. As the coatings provided were found to perform successfully in more and more demanding aerospace and medical applications, their uses have naturally spun off into other industries. Mel believed that providing a high quality product was not enough, so he pushed for the quickest turnaround times and the best customer service, too.
After Mel’s passing in 2005, his family, which had worked hard beside him for over 30 years, continued to grow and shape his legacy keeping in line with his ideals and vision for the business. The company has flourished under the leadership of his son-in-law and daughter, Tim and Melanie Cunningham, and he would be pleased to know that his granddaughter is working diligently to assume her role as a third generation owner.
Today, TFC’s customers can continue to rely on our problem-solving expertise, quick response times, and high quality finishing at a fair price. As a family-owned business, we understand the value of a relationship, and we are committed to earning your trust and confidence as a business partner.
